The Trump administration is desperate to keep Israel's military operation aimed at decapitating Iran's nuclear program from exploding into an even more expansive conflict

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Iran and Israel will have peace "soon", U.S. President Donald Trump said in a social media post on Sunday, adding that there were many unspecified meetings happening and that the two countries should make a deal.

Trump in recent days pushed Israeli officials away from a plan to kill Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, unnamed U.S. officials told Reuters and the Associated Press. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes concerning the report.
