The agency says while the smoke that triggered an alert Monday into Tuesday is exiting Minnesota, enough will remain southeast that the Air Quality Alert will remain in place there until 4 p.m. Wednesday. Areas impacted include the Twin Cities metro, Mankato, Albert Lea and Rochester. Air is expected to be moderately unhealthy.
