The Boston Red Sox and Alex Bregman agreed to a 3/$120 million contract with opt outs that allow both the player and the team maximum flexibility.

For the first time in a few years, there is real, positive buzz around the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox made it clear that they were going to be aggressive this offseason and they certainly were. There was a lot of pessimism around Boston even after it said it was going to be aggressive.

Bregman will likely play second base for Boston as the Red Sox try to bounce back into contention after three straight postseason misses. Interestingly enough though, Bregman took
