Harvard made a big show of resisting demands of the Trump administration. Now it has given in to some of them.

The announcement came hours after university lawyers and the Trump administration held a conference regarding the freeze of $2.2 billion in federal funding.

Harvard University is revamping its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) amid its ongoing fight with the Trump administration, which it has sued after its funding was cut when it refused to make administration-demanded changes.

A New York University School of Law professor on tax policy, called the news a “lawless action by the President.”

Trump has previously implied that his administration could revoke Harvard’s tax exempt status if the school does not fall in line with the administration’s demands to crackdown on antisemitism and cut diversity,
