Being a mascot is not for the faint of heart. Between stunts and interactions with the general public (including "well-hydrated" and opposing fans), they often find themselves in precarious positions, but Seattle Kraken mascot Buoy experience a different level of danger on a recent fishing trip with forward John Hayden.

NHL mascots receive their fair share of appreciation for the work they do all year round to build the atmosphere during games and help with marketing, but after a recent scary incident, the appreciation should increase.

Kraken forward John Hayden and Buoy, the team’s blue-haired troll mascot, had a close call with a grizzly bear during a promotional video shoot in Alaska.
