Israel's Leviathan natural gas field has signed the largest export agreement in the country's history, worth up to $35 billion to supply gas to Egypt, NewMed , one of the partners in the field, said on Thursday.

The companies operating Israel’s biggest gas field agreed to supply fuel worth $35 billion to Egypt over the next decade and a half, the latest sign of the North African country’s dependence on imports for the long haul.

The operators of the Leviathan natural gas field including Chevron signed the largest export agreement in Israel's history, worth up to $35B to supply gas to Egypt.
