The Louisiana LNG facility is expected to create between 500 and 1,000 permanent jobs and 8,000 construction jobs. Officials call it the largest foreign investment in the state's history.

Woodside has made a final investment decision to develop the three-train, 16.5 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) Louisiana LNG development. Woodside is targeting first LNG in 2029.

Woodside Energy is involved in intensive discussions with a couple of parties interested in participating in its newly approved $17.5 billion Louisiana LNG gas-export project, Chief Executive Meg O’Neill said.
