The North Carolina High School Athletic Association released the brackets for the 2025 high school basketball playoffs Sunday, setting the first-round pairings for both boys and girls basketball across the state.

The announcement comes just one day after the All American and United 8 Conference champions were crowned, with Seventy-First boys winning a fourth straight league title, Terry Sanford girls named co-champs and ready to defend their 3A East Regional championship and Jack Britt girls lighting up the U8 playoffs with a run to their third title in five years.

Sanderson has clinched the Cap's top playoff seed and outright conference championship. Due to a three-way tie for second place, the tiebreaker procedures had to be used. Broughton won out over Cardinal Gibbons and Leesville Road as Broughton went 3-1 vs. the other two while Cardinal Gibbons went 2-2 and Leesville Road went 1-3.
