Marvel is setting the record straight regarding the title of Thunderbolts*, which may or may not be called The New Avengers.

Ideally, a marketing plot like this would result in a nice split… but that doesn’t feel true in this particular case. The Thunderbolts, being a surreptitious way of assembling a new version of Earth’s Mightiest Heroe,s always seemed like the most obvious answer to the presented riddle, and I was hoping for something a bit more advanced.

The New Avengers now? Marvel is going all in on the Thunderbolts* title change. The end of the latest MCU movie renames itself *The New Avengers during the credits, and the stars have been helping officially rebrand the film a few days after its release.
