Kohl's has announced the closure of 27 stores and the San Bernardino E-commerce Distribution center due to underperformance and the need to focus on long-term growth and health of the business.

Department store chain Kohl’s is closing 27 “underperforming” stores across the United States, including a Sacramento-area location. The closures, which include 10 California sites, will occur by April, Kohl’s announced in a Jan. 9 news release.

The closures across 15 states are expected to take place by April. Each of the locations set for closure were identified as “struggling” the retailer said. The retailer is also closing its E-Commerce Fulfillment Center in May when the facility’s lease expires.
