One hurt in shooting in south Wichita
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — One person was seriously hurt in a shooting in south Wichita. It happened shortly after 11:30 on Thanksgiving morning near Waco and Zimmerly. When police arrived, they didn’t find the victim, but he was found by an officer moments later outside of a business at Harry and Waco.
Man charged with murder, other crimes after Friday shooting spree in north Wichita
The first-degree murder charge stems from the shooting death of 40-year-old Myron Tucker, who police found Friday at Prospect Park. Police believe Acosta fatally shot Tucker before going on a shooting spree, Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter said during a news conference Monday afternoon.
