“Thinking back to when I applied for the United World Colleges, I never expected to have such an experience. In fact, I had no idea what awaited me. What drove me to apply was the desire to change, learn and grow. This year I am sharing a room with three girls from South Sudan, Kosovo and Norway, while last year my three roommates were from Belgium, Egypt and Tanzania. Living with students from such distant countries has allowed me to discover and learn more about different cultures. Now, I have
