It's known as Fingal's Cauldron Seat after the great Gaelic hero and legend says that he used the stones to support a huge cauldron for cooking his dinner. However, Fingal's enormous dog Bran wouldn't leave the warrior alone as he prepared his meal so he tied it up using a hole in one of the stones. A hole that's still there and still works perfectly. Don't worry, no Labradors were harmed in the making of this film!
