The Picts were a group of people who lived in the northern and eastern parts of Scotland in the Early Middle Ages, north of the Firth of Forth. They have been the subject of much speculation and debate among historians, but modern scholars generally agree that the Picts were descendants of the Bronze Age Britons from the Iron Age.
