Ripon Cathedral Hidden Treasures - The Alabaster Carvings Henry VIII’s reformation impacted every part of life in Ripon Cathedral. The effects of these events can still be seen in the cathedral and its architecture today. A clear example of this is our set of alabaster carvings, which where hidden by clergy under the quire stalls to protect them from the king’s men. Rediscovered in the 19th century, Maisie Dyson uncovers the mysterious past of these objects in a short video produced as part of o
